In this third of four sessions, Dr. Diana Fosha works with a young adult White heterosexual male who is experiencing existential and relational distress. Fosha applies an accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy approach and uses series emotional focusing, mindfulness, immediacy, feedback, challenges, self-disclosure, interpretation, and reframing techniques. Throughout the session, Fosha guides the patient in connecting his current relational and existential issues to his family-of-origin by using the therapist-patient relationship. At the end of the session, Fosha assigns homework and the two debrief the session.
