  • lic. phil. Laure Bruggimann Meyer
    Laure Bruggimann Meyer studied psychology and completed training in cognitive behavioral therapy at the University of Geneva. She works as a psychotherapist FSP in the psychiatric outpatient clinic of the University Hospital of Geneva and in a private practice. She obtained isEFT certification with Marielle Sutter and Catalina Woldarsky and is currently involved as an associate supervisor for IEFT Switzerland.

  • Dr. phil. Yvonne Egenolf
    Yvonne Egenolf studied psychology at the University of Frankfurt and received her doctorate from the University of Bern. After an integrative cognitive-behavioral therapy training, she first completed the EFT basic training and then attended various advanced trainings in EFT as well as a one-year intensive training in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, SIA Berlin. She is a senior psychologist at the Psychotherapeutic Practice Center of the University of Bern and works as a certified Emotion-Focused Therapist and Supervisor in her own practice. She also complements the IEFT Switzerland team as an internal EFT trainer and is involved in its board of directors.

  • Dr. med. Andreas Huber
    Andreas Huber studied and received his doctorate in human medicine at the University of Zurich and is a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy in his own practice in Winterthur. After training in cognitive behavioral therapy and courses in other therapeutic approaches, he first became acquainted with EFT in 2009 in Bern with Leslie S. Greenberg. Enthusiastic about this method, he subsequently completed numerous further EFT training courses. He has been a certified EFT therapist since 2015 and an EFT supervisor since 2020.

  • Dr. phil. Patrick Jeger
    Patrick Jeger studied Clinical Psychology at the University of Bern, where he received his doctorate under Prof. Klaus Grawe. In 2000, he completed his postgraduate psychotherapy training at the University of Bern, where he is still active as a supervisor and trainer. Patrick Jeger completed supervision training at the "Center for Integrative Psychotherapy" (CIP) in Munich until 2006, and in 2009 he completed training in EFT and in 2019 in EFT-C. Among other things, he works as a psychotherapist in his own practice in Bern and as an associated supervisor at the IEFT Switzerland. He also heads the Psychological Service of the Psychiatry Center Münsingen (PZM) and works in the psychotherapy ward of the clinic (PTM).

  • lic. phil. Kaspar Kellenberger
    Kaspar Kellenberger studied psychology at the University of Bern with Prof. Klaus Grawe. He then completed postgraduate therapy training at the University of Bern (MASPT Unibe) and since 2013 has completed various continuing education courses in Emotion-Focused Therapy and Inner Relationship Focusing. After working for several years at the Wyss Private Clinic (individual and group therapy, quality assurance), he works in his own practice in Bern. He has been a certified EFT therapist since 2015, is a founding member of the Swiss Society for EFT (EFT-CH) and has been involved as an associate supervisor at IEFT Switzerland and on its board since 2022.

  • Prof. Dr. Ueli Kramer
    Ueli Kramer studied Clinical Psychology at the Universities of Geneva, Lausanne and Fribourg, worked for one year as a "Visiting Professor at the University of Windsor" (Canada) and as a "Visiting Scholar at Harvard University" (USA). Currently, Ueli Kramer works as a private lecturer, psychotherapy researcher and clinical psychotherapist at the University of Lausanne. His research focuses on processes and outcomes in psychotherapy, in particular on mechanisms of change in the treatment of personality disorders and case formulation in personality disorders. Since 2020, Prof. Dr. Ueli Kramer is also president of the European Society for Psychotherapy Research (EU-SPR). Ueli Kramer is also a broadly trained and integrative specialist psychologist for psychotherapy FSP, isEFT supervisor, and co-author of the first French-language book on Emotion-Focused Therapy.

  • Dr. med. lic. phil.  Jules Mathys
    Jules Mathys studied medicine and psychology at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) and received his doctorate from the University of Lausanne under Prof. Armin von Gunten and Prof. Julius Popp. He received his specialist degree in psychiatry and psychotherapy in Switzerland in 2013. His first psychotherapeutic training was in the systemic field. In 2016, Jules Mathys learned about EFT in Lausanne and then completed the certified trainings in couples and individual therapy at IEFT Switzerland. He then continued his training with Catalina Woldarsky, Marielle Sutter and Serine Warwar. He works as a psychotherapist in his own practice for emotion-focused psychotherapy.

  • lic. phil. Julia Maillefer Etemad-Sajadi
    Julia Maillefer graduated in psychology from the University of Lausanne in 2005. She trained further in cognitive behavioral therapy and has been a federally certified psychotherapist since 2012. She is currently in private practice in Lausanne. At the same time, she participates as a teacher and supervisor in postgraduate training in CBT in Lausanne. In 2018, she began training in EFT/TCE with Marielle Sutter and Catalina Woldarsky. She is an isEFT-certified EFT/TCE therapist and supervisor, and is involved as an associate supervisor with the Swiss Institute for Emotion-Centered Therapy.

  • Dr. phil. Emma Schmied-Smith
    Emma Schmied-Smith studied psychology at the University of Bern and received her doctorate under Prof. Klaus Grawe. After a postdoctoral year at King's College London, she completed integrative cognitive-behavioral therapy training at the University of Bern and has completed several advanced trainings in Emotion-Focused Therapy and Inner Relationship Focusing since 2009. She works as a psychotherapist in private practice in Bern and is a lecturer and supervisor in postgraduate psychotherapy continuing education at the University of Bern and at the Swiss Institute for Emotion-Focused Therapy. She isEFT certified international EFT trainer. Emma Schmied-Smith is also on the board of IEFT Switzerland.

  • lic. phil. Tobias Steiger
    Tobias Steiger studied psychology and education in Basel and Bern and graduated in child and adolescent psychology, education and psychopathology with Prof. Flammer in Bern. Prior to his psychology studies, he also studied French, Italian and Sociology for one year.
    One year after graduating in psychology, he completed the Person-Centered Therapy Training at the Swiss Society for Person-Centered Psychotherapy SGGT, now pcaSuisse. To this day he is active there as a trainer in various special seminars. He also completed further training in the supervision of person-centered psychotherapy. In the context of his work in child and adolescent psychiatry, he also immersed himself in systemic therapy over a longer period of time and completed, among other things, further training in systemic supervision. In 2007, he met Prof. Leslie Greenberg at a conference of the German Society for Scientific Conversational Psychotherapy and immediately became enthusiastic about emotion-focused therapy. He invited Leslie Greenberg to Basel in 2008, 2009 and 2010, where he taught two continuing education cycles Level 1-3, supported by Lars Auszra, Imke Herrmann, Catalina Woldarsky and Serine Warwar.
    From 2013 to 2016, Tobias Steiger completed advanced training in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy with Sue Johnson and Barry Aarnoudse in Germany. This was followed in 2019-2021 by further EFT couples therapy training with Leslie Greenberg, Rhonda Goldman and Serine Warwar in Bern.
    Since 2008, Emotion Focused Therapy, and later Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, has become his therapeutic home. With great passion he offers Emotion Focused Therapy and Supervision in individual, couple and family settings.

  • Dr. phil.  Marielle Sutter
    Marielle Sutter is a federally recognized psychotherapist FSP and has co-directed IEFT Switzerland with Leslie Greenberg since 2014. She studied psychology and sociology at the University of Bern and received her PhD in 2006 under Prof. Klaus Grawe and Prof. Franz Caspar. Since 2008 she has been trained and supervised in EFT and EFT-C. With Leslie Greenberg she co-authored the book "Praxis der Emotionsfokussierten Therapie" in 2021 and has then translated it into French ("Pratiquer la thérapie centrée sur les émotions", 2004).
    Marielle Sutter is a trainer and supervisor in EFT and EFT-C at IEFT Switzerland as well as at various institutes and universities in the German and French speaking regions. In her group practice in Bern, she appreciates working in individuals and with couples. She is a founding member and president of the Swiss Society for EFT. Marielle Sutter is an isEFT-approved supervisor for EFT and EFT-C as well as an international trainer.

  • lic. phil. Mélanie Rutschi-Hagmann
    Mélanie Rutschi-Hagmann studied clinical psychology, developmental psychology and psychopathology at the University of Bern. She completed the integrative cognitive-behavioral therapy training with an interpersonal focus according to Prof. K. Grawe at the University of Bern and came into contact with Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) during a research project. In 2018 she completed the basic training in EFT, and in 2020 in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT-C) at the Institute for Emotion-Focused Therapy in Bern (IEFT). After many years of practice management at the ZSB in Bern, she is a psychotherapist, certified EFT therapist, EFT self-experiential therapist, and associated supervisor-in-training of the IEFT in her own practice in Konolfingen.

  • lic. phil. Chantal Thévenoz Burnand
    Chantal Thévenoz studied psychology and was trained in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy at the University of Geneva. She has been working independently in a group practice since 2016, having previously worked at Clinique de la Métairie (Nyon). She trained with Marielle Sutter and Catalina Woldarsky at the IEFT. She is certified as an EFT/TCE therapist by the International Society for Emotion Focussed Therapy (siEFT). She has been studying and practicing EMDR therapy since 2020. Her ongoing training focuses on Emotion Focused Therapy, and also draws on CBT and EMDR therapy.

  • lic. phil. Sophie Wick
    Sophie Wick studied Clinical and General Psychology as well as Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Fribourg. She then completed the MAS in cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal psychotherapy at the Klaus Grawe Institute in Zurich (2011-2015). During this time, she was introduced to Emotion-Focused Therapy and has since completed various EFT trainings, notably the first curricula at IEFT Switzerland in EFT (2016) and EFT-C (2018).
    She works as a psychotherapist, couples therapist and associated supervisor of IEFT Switzerland in her own practice in Biel/Bienne.

  • Dr. phil. Catalina  Woldarsky Meneses
    Catalina Woldarsky-Meneses received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Dr. Leslie Greenberg at York University in Toronto, Canada. She specializes in Emotion-Focused Therapy for individuals and couples. She isEFT-certified supervisor and trainer and has been an associate trainer of IEFT Switzerland since 2017. She is also involved in its board. She teaches counseling at Webster University in Geneva. Dr. Woldarsky Meneses believes in holistic healing and is a certified yoga teacher.

  • Dr. med. Barbara Wyss Wagnière
    Barbara Wyss, MD, studied and received her doctorate in human medicine from the University of Zurich and is a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy in her own practice in Winterthur. After cognitive-behavioral therapy and method integration training at the Klaus Grawe Institute in Zurich, she first came into contact with Emotion-Focused Therapy in 2011. Since then, she has continuously trained in EFT in various workshops and uses the method daily in her practical work. She has been a certified EFT therapist since 2015 and a certified EFT supervisor since 2023.
